Sermon Notes

In this series on the armor of God, we have seen that the first piece of armor needed is a knowledge of God’s truth, the Bible, and its authority. The 2nd piece of armor needed is the breastplate of righteousness. The moment a person receives Christ as one’s Lord and Savior God sees us as clothed in His very own righteousness and holiness. Living in that reality can protect us from the lies and deception of the enemy as well as the wounds of others.

Today we are looking at the sandals of a Roman soldier which represent standing firm and secure; prepared for the accusations, deceptions, and temptations hurled at us from the enemy by having a proper understanding of God’s gospel of peace. We will look at the difference between being at peace with God and having the peace of God.
