Sermon Notes

Two weeks ago in our series on Philippians we looked at a few lessons we can learn from how Paul dealt with his adversity. Not everything that happens to us is from God but God can bring some good out of everything that happens to us. One of those is that God will use our struggles to grow us in our relationship with Him and make us more like Him; more patient, more compassionate towards others, if we allow Him.

Today we’re looking at a few things that will enable us to live a life of purpose, meaning and fulfillment. One of those is that we need God’s presence and power to be working within us and through us. The second is that we need to live for a purpose beyond ourselves.

That purpose is “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” We will look at what Paul means by this statement.
