The Abundant Life Christian Center of Wilmington, MA

Join Us on Sunday Mornings!

We believe that part of being in God's family is enjoying the company of friends and family, celebrating His love for us, and growing spiritually through clear and updated teaching.

9:00am - 10:15am: Worship Celebration

Our service begins with a welcome and announcements and then an extended time of music.  It is a time to clear our heads from the busy week at work or school, with the kids, etc...and focus on what God has done for us throughout the week. This time is lead by our dynamic Worship Team, and allows us the chance to thank God (in whatever way we see fit) for all that He has done and will do in our lives. Some folks sing out loud, some raise hands, some just think and reflect quietly to themselves- it is ALL good! Our music is typically upbeat and "contemporary", however, the Team will apporopriately calm the tempo to help relax our minds and provide an environment for reflection and thanksgiving. » More...

Upcoming Sermon Series starting on:

"Finding Freedom" starting Sunday, January 10th.  This is a sevem part series that looks at various issues that we struggle with in our personal lives and how we can find freedom from habits, patterns and attitudes that hold us back and weigh us down.

"What Is This Strange Person Called a Disciple?" starting February 28th. This five part series will lead in to Easter.  What does it mean to be a disciple of Jesus Christ?  What is the difference between calling oneself a Christian and being an actual disciple of Jesus?

We believe (or came to realize) that learning about God can be fun and interesting, and doesn't necessarily have to be lectures, using strange words and dealing with obscure topics. We have been making an effort to introduce creative ways to teach and learn about God's love, and have found that our current congregation have responded favorably. Our pastors make an intentional effort to present Jesus's teachings in a way that even those that have never been to church before will understand and appreciate. We realize that some folks are concerned or confused by the "church-speak" or lingo during a sermon, and we understand that it is nearly impossible to teach something, if you are not speaking the same language!

10:15am - 11:00am: Coffee Time!
You will sometimes hear this time refered to as "Fellowship Hour". That is exactly what it is for- fellowship! By fellowship, we simply mean- spending time with others from the community to connect with old and new friends, give and receive encouragement/prayer, or simply have some coffee and a few laughs! Our Hospitality Team does a fantastic job of providing delicious breakfast and dessert items, and we make sure there is plenty to go around. This time can also be used for small meetings, prayer groups, etc. The Coffee Hour ends at 11:00am, as we begin Sunday School at that time.

11:00am - 12:00pm: Sunday School

We know what you're thinking- MORE church? Well, considering that our Service Hour provides us with alot more than just teaching (announcements, information, music, etc) we have devoted a full hour to pure teaching/learning for those interested in digging even deeper into a particular topic or discussion. The class is usually quite full, and is a safe place to ask questions and engage in deeper conversations, a necessary ingredient for spiritual growth. We also host Sunday School for Youth (Grade School through High School), and have a Day Care Center for parents with children. » More...
