Discovering Ministry offers in in-depth look at our personal S.H.A.P.E.
- that is to say: Spiritual Gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality, and Experience.
It's not just a clever acronym, it's a clear and effective reminder that we were
all wired for a purpose, with unique gifts, abilities, experiences, passions, etc.
The S.H.A.P.E. Class gets to the very heart of who we are (yes, it is very personalized),
and gives us an unbelievable sense of how God has designed us!
This class is NOT designed to fill positions in the church; it is designed to identify our S.H.A.P.E.
and to help folks find their place in ministry. It could be anything from carpentry to hospitality to
web design (I'll take all the help I can get). We all know that some people enjoy things we wouldn't
think twice about doing- ever wonder why that is? It's because we were all made differently, and that
was for a reason! You'll often here God's people (or, the church) refered to as the "Body". Think about
it, if God designed the human body as all hands, how effective could we be? Or even with two left hands?
You get the point. Clearly we are all made differently and clearly God had a specific purpose for us in
mind when he "wired" us. Come discover what your purpose is, and how you can use it to serve Him!
