That's what we sometimes think of when we hear about a missions trip to some remote country in Africa, or to a poverty stricken
neighborhood in Jerusalem. What we may not think of immediately is the peace, joy, satisfaction and sense of fulfillment that comes
with living in the center of God's will for us, and having to surrender ourselves completely- physically, emotionally and spiritually,
in order to get along in a strange and sometimes volitile environment. Talk about stretching our faith!
We believe that missions work is partially for our own sense of purpose and fulfillment, but even more so to demonstrate God's love
towards those in need. It's about putting the needs of others before our own, and understanding that all that God has given us (comfort,
safety, security) is not really ours to keep, rather to share with others that they might come to see God's love in their own lives.
Our church supports a Mission in Honduras in conjunction with our mission partner, Rev. Dr. Hector Newman. Over the last seven years Rev. Newman has planted over 20 churches, built numerous church buildings, built a school for Compassion Children, started a Pastor's Bible Training Institute and begun preparations to build an orphange. He is a man with great conviction and passion for what God wants to do in Honduras.

Our Missions Team is quite active in the world missions arena, and would be happy to have dialogue with anyone who feels God is calling them
in this way.
