We believe that God wants us to continueto grow and mature in our faith as we develop the character of Jesus in our lives. As we grow in our faith we will experience the true power and presence of God in our lives.
The Growing 201 Class is designed to explain the basic skills we need as followers of Jesus to help develop this maturing process. Sometimes as Christians we assume that if we just go to church we will grow, but that is not necessarily true. Growth is a process that is not automatic; we have to develop the habits and skills that foster the process. And that takes a willingness on our part to develop these skills. The class is built around the acronym H.A.B.I.T.S.
Each of the classes described in the core purposes menu (Connecting, Growing, Serving, Reaching and Worshiping) is designed to give us an overview of the basic skills and attitudes that will start us on the path toward significance and meaning in our Christian life. It is part of an intentional spiritual growth strategy.
