This fellowship began when a few Wilmington families, who were attending the First Baptist Church in Reading, MA, sensed God's leading
to begin an evangelical church in Wilmington. With the support of the Reading church, the First Baptist Church of Wilmington was founded
in 1956. Pastor Ron Grimley began his ministry with us in November of 1990. Before that he served as the Associate
Pastor with the First Baptist Church of Wellsboro, PA for 5 1/2 years.
His undergraduate degree is from Temple University in Philadelphia
and his Masters of Divinity is from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. His wife, Lisa, is the church Music Director and they have one son, Nathan, who is a senior in high school. |

Pastor of Discipleship and Youth -
Josh Armendariz

Josh joined the staff as Youth Director in 2008 and recently assumed the responsibility for discipleship. He is passionate about the Word of God and believes it is God’s Word that should be the one true anchor in our crazy world. This passion was developed as he received his bachelors of Youth Ministry from Moody Bible Institute and was further honed upon receiving his Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Throughout his almost 10 years in ministry, his goal has been for people to have the tools to open the Scriptures and glean the truth that the Lord has for us all. In ministry he enjoys preaching, teaching and fellowshipping with all generations and all walks of life within the church body. He and his wife, Liz, were married in 2010. |

Lisa Grimley leads our Sunday morning worship and directs our Praise and Worship Team. Her undergraduate degree is from West Chester University in Pennsylvania and her graduate
degree in music is from Mansfield University. Lisa's gift for music, leadership and creativity is truly a blessing to our community. |
